Proof?

I need some input from anyone who cares to answer.

What would it take for you to believe in ghosts?

What would constitute proof? A photo? A voice recording from the dead? A visual apparition? Video? Second-hand knowledge from someone you trust?

Or would it have to be a shocking personal experience?

As for me, it's some of the above. Mostly, though, I'd vote for personal experience. I'll believe an EVP recording is real, but it depends on the source. If I wasn't there when the evidence was collected, I'm a tough sell.

Encyclopedia of Haunted Places

My copy of The Encyclopedia of Haunted Places edited by Jeff Belanger, arrived today. It looks fantastic! I have two entries in the book, covering haunted Carter, Texas and the ever-spooky Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas.

It's available for the best price at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1564147991/qid=1123940774/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-3677570-7321641?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

For those of you in Fort Worth, I'll be at the ghost meetup at Central Market off Hulen tonight. Hope to see you there!

Calvert and Books

I just got word today that Haunted Encyclopedia, edited by Jeff Belanger, is due to be released soon. I have a couple entries/stories appearing in it. One is about the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, and the other is about haunted Carter, Texas. You can read about Mystic Ghosts' adventures at both places in the archives. Jeff Belanger is the founder of http://www.ghostvillage.com.

Also, for Halloween, Trana Simmons was kind enough to invite me to come to Calvert, Texas and read tarot cards before her ghost seminar at The Calvert Hotel, a haunted Victorian hotel there. The date will be Saturday, October 29, 2005. More details to come when I have them.

You can read all about Trana, her books and ghost stories here: http://www.iseeghosts.com/simmons_bibliography.htm
